RSB Dance at the Reigate Christmas Lights

Reigate's Christmas Fayre is one of the town's favourite events within it's busy calendar, and the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance performed again in full swing. Yes, it was cold!!

However, our children braved the temperatures and again just got on with the job, with smiles all-round. We were very proud of them all and we thank the parents for their continued support and help!

We performed at 2.30pm and the medley started with Starlight Performing Arts group 1 (our youngest Saturday musical theatre group). They danced to the song "Tears" by Clean Bandit, featuring Louisa Johnson, and performed it with energy and enthusiasm. This was such a good experience and avenue for our young performers, and they had much support from the crowd - they all seemed to enjoy it thoroughly!

Secondly, our lovely scholarship ballet pupils performed a fun piece based on a "Pencil Full of Lead". These pupils certainly graced the new raised performing stage, which ensured more people could enjoy their performance. Again, a great performance avenue for these pupils, especially being so close to the audience, and they showed a real commitment and focus with their smiles - Great Performances!!

Lastly our Starlight group 3 pupils (not quite our oldest musical theatre group), performed "Brand New Day" from the musical The Wiz. Despite the smaller stage, the pupils adapted well to their performance space and again performed with real spirit. They sang well and the crowd loved them!

Many thanks again to the parents and teachers for all their support, and to the Reigate Business Guild for giving us the opportunity to perform each year!

This week is WATCHING WEEK at our dance school, which will be awash with tinsel, so we hope to see most parents there during their last week of term.

From all at RSB Dance and the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance, we wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
