STREET DANCE CLASSES IN Reigate & redhill

Our street dance classes in Reigate, Redhill and Merstham offer a fun and stimulating experience for children, who get inspired by our excellent ex performing teachers. We focus on commercial street which gives children great coordination skills accompanied by the most current urban music. Creativity is paramount and from the early years, children are encouraged to input their own bespoke moves after learning key routines, so that they build their repertoire of current dance steps while adding their own vibe.

Children are grouped in age specific groups (we don't' put 4 year olds and 10 year olds together in one class). This way, children learn with their close peer groups, and make lost of new friends with a common interest.   

 

Like "pop" music, street dance has a number of different styles such as hip-hop, street jazz, street fun funk and urban dance, but the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance focuses mainly on commercial street which is defined by the popularized styles often associated with pop videos, TV work, the Brit awards and current theatre work. We believe this is the most relevant open style for children to learn, as it's a widely choreographed style in the industry.

OPTIONAL ACRO CLASSES

With our optional acro classes, we offer the full training from an early age in a fun and friendly environment, so that children learn the tricks, skills and rhythm awareness to progress through to late teenage years.

 

We have classes in 4 age brackets, so that you can be assured that there will be classes for your children when they get older, up to student level, with many performance opportunities open to them.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

Children get the chance to perform in local events such as the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill, Reigate Christmas Lights, Redhill Belfry, and many more. Some children have also been given the opportunity to dance at the Royal Albert Hall and alongside Strictly Come Dancing's Pasha Kovalev, with unique fusions of contemporary and commercial styles.
